Thank you for commenting! Fingerprint and mobile keys serve two very different needs, and sometimes even compliment each other for multifactor authentication. Fingerprint is good if there is a small, well-known group of people accessing the same door (e.g. families, small offices, or special situation where the enrollment of a new fingerprint is viable). Mobile keys in the other side are highly dynamic in terms of granting access to somebody adhoc without the need to reside at the door. Even more mobile keys can be seamlessly integrated into 3rd-party solutions and bound to 3rd party identities (e.g. a an employee's company account).

Hi Michal, Thanks for your comment. Maybe we didn't get the message across properly. The idea behind Tapkey is that users don't need mechanic keys anymore and can open doors, garages, cars and lockers with just one smartphone app.

Tapkey I do get your point. Really. I simply say this is impractical. Making me to smash my phone here and there is not the best design for a smart Lock/Key solution, both from practical and security perspective. Remember pay-pass scanning? Think about attacker copying your safe key the same way. Are you planning to raise funds for client's robbed that way? Remember Landrover, toyota, Ford keyless cars being robbed using a small suitcase? Is every tapkey backed with an insurance? No? Than unless your plan is to put insecure locks all over the world, your product is a useless toy. Your product is more insecure than a regular lock, but costs tenfold. Your turn for arguments.
